Disembodied Souls: The End is Just the Beginning

Disembodied Souls is a series of paintings inspired by a personal experience. I once contemplated the possibility of the ability to transfer a soul, I believed may be hellbound, to heaven. I questioned myself as to whether or not this person was deserving of such an act. This person in life was cruel to me and people I love and have loved. In the end I found forgiveness.

In this process of contemplation, I felt I needed to open a window. I felt this act was what a soul needed in order to be free to transition. 

I later discovered there is a practice observed by some cultures which is, when a person passes a window will be opened.

“It’s a gesture of letting go, but also letting in; bringing in the fresh air from the outside world and the promise of another day…”

The end is just the beginning …….
